In your opinion? I won't mention my opinion on it.
With Ozzy? Master of Reality. Otherwise, Born Again.
Ozzy forever
it's the generic answer, but Paranoid. just an unreal album from start to finish which is something MoR fumbled with a bit in my opinion.non-ozzy is born again, pretty easy choice too.
>>130526818Vol 4, Easily. That album just sounds like a victory lap to me, like they knew they were the boss. Supernaut and Tomorrow's Dream. Epic
Gonna go with Master of Reality. Paranoid had the greatest song ever written, and a few others, but the record was uneven. MoR was the first to be completely great. Every time you listen to it, you realize how much influence they had on music. Metallica's record Ride the Lightning might as well be a Sabbath album.Vol 4 is also great. Shit, anything before Dio was at least passable.
>>130526818Sabotage>>130526878Least best of the first six imo.
>>130526818The first album.
>>130526878Totally, Wheels of Confusion blew me away the first time I listened to it. Though in a way it's almost the least Black Sabbath album. I wonder what it would have been like had they kept on pursuing more psychedelic music. Also for me it's:>ozzy eraVol 4>dio eraMob Rules>martin eraEternal IdolAlso, their worst is Seventh Star easily
Master of Reality, but only just slightly over Vol 4. They're both amazing really, and always felt like a pair to me.
Adulthood is realizing the Dio era fucking sucks and only has a couple of good songs
>>130527481As someone who got into rock n' roll as an adult, I completely agree. Metallica is great. Other metal bands here and there are good. But stuff like Dio and other "extremely performative" bands are way too cringe for my taste, if you get what I mean.
>>130527481Huh? I thought it's common knowledge. I've had the same opinion since I first heard Dio's Sabbath as a kid.
>>130527481At least Dio could sing, unlike the talentless crossdressing hack Ozzy
>>130526818I only listened to their first two albums but their debut album is by far my favorite metal album ever because it just sounds like some guys doing their thing with very obvious blues influences. It is just so pure and authentic, most metal I've heard sounds like a bunch of people trying to be "metal" and trying to be this very immature and dorky version of "cool". I'm not a metalhead at all though and I only started listening to this band because my algorithms got flooded with funny Ozzy videos so I checked out his music to see what the fuzz was about, so really I don't know shit and maybe I'm completely wrong about metal (in which case please spoonfeed me where I can find the good shit)
>>130526818my top 10
>>130526818For me, it's between black sabbath and vol4.
>>130526818Simple as
>>130526818Seventh Star, Eternal Idol, Dehumanizer, Tyr, Cross Purposes
