This one fucked me up for a good while, you have to be in a terrible mental state to make an album out of recordings of your mother dying and a deathbed pic as the album cover. Tbh this guy should’ve killed himself instead of Atrax Morgue, at least AM made interesting music sometimes despite being a similar hopelessly depressed retard.
All noise "music" is fucking gay and retarded.

>>130532444Not wrong but pic related isn't really noise music, moreso "field recordings" I guess with a conceptual bent that comes from a background of power electronics and noise. In a sense you're not wrong, noise isn't really "music" in the traditional sense and isn't meant to be. It's lack of character (which you understand from the getgo via it's adoption of the word 'noise') makes it essentially a blank state from which an artist can inscribe certain conceptual ideas and subjects onto. Noise is as much about the naming of songs, the artwork, the "themes" of albums as it is about the noise itself, this is not the case for every single noise artist, of course, but for many it is. All of this does sound awfully gay and retarded, I'll admit, but I think a great new trend in newer noise music is a frank embracing of the genre's gayness and retardation towards novel ends like this Italian fellow who seems to suffers from an addiction to Japanese pornography and chooses to make it the overarching narrative of his solo work.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JgL3qH3jD0&list=RD5JgL3qH3jD0&start_radio=1
>>130532444I like some noise but yeah, 99% of it is gay and retarded. I ran a DIY venue for a decade and we had tons of noise shows, always the biggest edgelords making garbage static music and releasing it on tape with an intentionally bad b/w photocopy of a battered women or whatever as the cover. It's a shame cuz when noise is good it's sick but the scene is one of the worst
>>130532144Here's a good one. This album pretty much got me into extreme metal. It's essentially some really gnarly blackened death with samples of interviews with serial killers, the most chilling of which is probably on the song Lashed to the Grinder and Stoned to Death in which Richard 'the Iceman' Kuklinski recounts a particularly sadistic execution performed on a very unfortunate soul. If you watch the actual clip of the interview, it sounds he mentions his regretting in telling the man what he told him, very casually speaking in the same way a regular guy would recount regretting being overly mean to a service worker. Unlike a lot of metal which sort of delves into goofy fantasy territory, the terror of this album is rooted in reality. In real violence and carnage committed in the modern first-world. I've never been the same since I listened to this album.
>>130532444>gay and retardedProblematic language....
>>130535449so true...it's 2026 and we say faggot nigger now

>>130536706Also try John Duncan - Blind Date
Fatboy Slim's first album was considered a lordedge album at the time. A beautifully executed one.
>>130536706These all fucking suck, btw
>>130532144Imagine exploiting your mother's death so all 15 people that make up the noise scene can tell you how great it is
Doing this to your own mother is vile and deeply sad.
