Explain this. This is now the most popular album in the world but it’s ass. This is what I’d expect to hear if my artsy 19 year old cousin sent his latest indie cuts and it’s some bland synt loops with reverb guitars and corny speech samples that has 10 plays on Souncloud. But instead it’s literally the most popular music in the world

>>130536955>another anti BoC engagement bait threadI like the album too anon, but you don’t have to keep making these threads just so you can have someone to talk to about it.
>>130536955>corny speech samplesthis is the only thing I hate about this album actually
>>130536955>Explain this. This is now the most popular album in the worldIts really only popular on /mu/ and RYM. They have 1.5 million Spotify listeners, no one cares about this garbage.
>>130536955yes but you forgot the fact that a new jeet goes online evey three seconds
>>130536955Fanatano correctly gave it a 6 and it made all the shills seethe
>>130537231ragebait it's all the rage this days and zoomers are falling for it.
>>130536955>This is now the most popular album in the worldBut enough about Bully.
>>130536955it was anticipated and hyped by a large number of peopleit's a popular band with good musicnot that hard to figure it out
>>130536955If your artsy 19 year old cousin sent his latest indie cuts, the melon would give it a 10.
>>130536955if you can do better, do it
>>130536955>This is now the most popular album in the worldRetard
>>130537226>yes but you forgot the fact that a new jeet goes online evey three secondsI'm not even Indian but I can instantly tell someone's IQ when they say "[slur towards Jews or Indians] are behind this" in response to everything they see online. Such people are so unintelligent that it's actually funny.
Boards of Canada get away with failing to evolve as artists by releasing music so sporadically People who like and hate them can agree on that
I’d rate it a 8.5/9 out of 10 depending on the day, but I think it’s truly a strong 8 album, and their most effective album since Geo. I think it trounces Geo overall though. Geo is just a different kind of creepy. If my 19 yo cousin was amped on this album, I would be like, dude, my cousin is high key based.>t. 37 yo peak millennial chad

>>130537026I hate this about electronic music in generalit's pretentious as fuck, post-rock fags do it a lot too
>>130537026The only track where the vocals don’t work for me is on The Word Becomes Flesh, too busy with minimal development or payoff. Father & Son got a lot of shit on launch but I think the slicing and processing is genius, turns what is a very serious discussion into something almost playful and very catchy. I’m a sucker for the books and it hit just the right spot
>>130539153I’m always baffled by how people don’t like the fact that a band always sounds like themselves. The need for total reinvention every album cycle is really just a miserable consequence of consumerism and trend-hopping. All I see in Boc are principled artists with an actual long-term commitment to an aesthetic/conceptual project.
>>130540146i feel bad for zoomers, their lives are so fucked up through no fault of their own all they have left is to use comparative qualities of youth in a desperate attempt to win arguments. it's like they don't understand how time works. 10 years isn't as long as you think it is and you will very, very soon be unc.
>>130540407Norwood type 7 response
>>130540450sorry lil bro but i'm nw 0 at 33. statistically you will be a nw 3 by my age though once again i feel bad for you guys, you got so fucked and still don't realize it.
>>130540360>The need for total reinvention every album cyclesome evolution should be expected after 31 years
>>130536955We got an edgelord over here
>>130540527Their sound has undeniably changed though? Obviously there are still elements and structural/compositional choices that are undeniably boc, but it’s not as if TCH, TH or even Inferno are nothing but a retread of their first two albums, they each sound very different and distinct.
