He did. That's clowncore Louis Cole rules but I really wish he would start a band with an actually good singer who could do technical runs and phrases instead of the filipina chick. Somebody like Jonny Craig but without the low iq and heroin addiction.

I saw David Liebe Hart a couple of years ago. This is exactly what that show was like. It was great.

we booked him at a DIY spot in like 2015/16, it was great but I felt kinda bad at how the crowd handled it. He'd sing about wanting to fuck an alien girlfriend or some shit and everybody would laugh and he'd look around like he didn't understand why. "Outsider" shit is kind of a weird place where it's easy to feel exploitative but I legit did love his set.
I put an un-opened beer down on his merch table when trying to pay him for an original drawing and he got mad about it and continued to complain about it for the rest of the night lol. He also gave his personal phone number to every girl at the show and said "you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and I want you to be my girlfriend". I remember a Daniel Johnston interview where he said he's been instructed to not talk to the "foxy ladies" lol.
Even David's caretakers or whoever they were + his bandmate both seemed like they were in it for the memes and I felt really bad for him the whole time. Dude's out here making serious music and he's surrounded by people who just see it as a Tim and Eric gag. I hope his situation is better now.

He knows he's a goof and people like to goof on him. As long as it isn't mean spirited, he doesn't take it too personally. He is 100% serious about what he does though. Chances are your venue and show were just another day in the life for David.

When I saw him, he would rant about his Erie Lackawanna train set that got taken in the divorce, competing clowns on 1980s Chicago public access television, and he also asked for money a few times to get his puppets restored. The DJ with the NASA costume, QWERTY keytar, and Donkey Kong bongos, I don't know what his deal is, but he seems to help David out a good bit.

Well, not really. He's still doing his thing but none of us are getting younger. He's like 90% blind. That was surprising and sad to see. Doesn't stop him from being the showman he has been for the last 30 years. I bought a bunch of pins from him at the merch table, one of each, and he had to bring them up to his eye to see if any given two were different. Eventually I had to help him find the fourth one that was different.

Frankly, it was an honor and pleasure to meet him. My city is known for being very welcoming and supporting of bands starting out, indies, weirdos, outsiders. He said at the end of the show he "couldn't see, but can hear" we were a great crowd and I had a feeling it might have been one of his better ones in a long time.

A scandinavian parody of black metal back when scandinavian black metal was actually a serious business. "Kill people burn churches" serious.

Anyone have that video of the one dude doing harsh noise at some open mic even and gets kicked off the stage?
