for me overall i think its a pretty good album i like the repettive riffs and overall the atmosphere of the album, i just wanted to ask what yall think and if yall can give me similar albums
>>
The 2024 remix on the bandcamp is the best version of it so far.
There isnt really an equvivalent album out there, but just dive into stoner/doom/sludge bands, you'll find something you like.
>>

anyone got any recc's for stuff that sounds like Sleep's Holy Mountain? as in more on the psychedelic/stoner end of things than the doom/sludge end.

Hie have I never seen this? Funny shit.
Also, definitely go see Sleep live if you have the opportunity. Earth is great live as well.

Jerusalem sounds amazing and Dopesmoker sounds like goofy shit to me, even though they're the same recording of the same song.
So you know which side i'm on.

Orthrelm - OV
>>

jerusalem sounds like underground black metal, dopesmoker sounds like hot topic nu-metal
>>
>>130568871
Dopesmoker is amazing. I've never listened to Jerusalem, though. Isn't is just Dopesmoker but fucked around with by their label?

This were like that julian cope head heritage writer’s algorithm or something like that

maybe but it came first. I think they cut the thing into random individual tracks, but the mix is tight
>>
this album works so well on long walks
>>
Grimmrobe Demos - Sunn O)))
You will start worshipping the drone when you get high enough.

It's pretty impressive how it manages to be both cohesive and interesting at its length. It makes me wonder if rock/metal could work out something like the sonata form that allowed classical music to sprawl out.
>>
>>130576024
It cuts out like 7 minutes of the song, mostly at the back end

Indeed, heil.

I love both. I don't even smoke pot anymore, but when I did me and my friend would listen to these two records, and Electric Wizard's stuff too. Great music overall, and I don't really like doom metal
