Why is this $700-1000 more expensive than the vela? The vela has a set neck, rosewood fretboard, same neck pickup, same bridge, it's hollow, carved top, same usa factory in maryland. Where is the money going? This one *should* be cheaper just reading the page.
>>
>>130580929
That is $2800 and this is $2150. Why?

they probably make more vela guitars, the tooling has been around longer so they aren't still trying to recoup the losses for the new equipment, if i had to guess. also the different inlays might cost more for some reason

Chatting with an LLM is great when you are already an expert at what you're talking about. It's great as a coding assistant for senior software developers. If you don't have the expertise to correct it when it's wrong, you will constantly internalize incorrect information. That's why it's garbage as a learning tool for things like learning music theory. If you are already solid on music theory, then it can be really useful for drumming up and fleshing out new ideas when you would otherwise be drawing blanks.

It's also not string thru. The pickups sound much hotter and more like p90s with no hum. And the fretboard is compound. He basically decided to make a teleish guitar without all the problems teles come with after seeing everyone swap the pickups immediately for years. When it comes to bridges, the material and break angle is what matters. Nut is bone. Out of the box it's a speced out tele except better.

I’ve had the Strat on the left for 29 years but my tastes in specs has changed so I don’t play it anymore, so I bought a neck spec’d how I like and am gonna stick either lower output 50s voiced pickups in or maybe a set of Fralin P90 voiced pickups and I’m excited to basically use the body as the start of a partscaster

>>130586594
I am constantly stupended by the fact that you can get away with having an almost straight bridge/intonation setup on just about any acoustic but have to have a proper zigzag for literally any electric up to a PRS.
Is it just aura or something about an acoustic's string gauges and fretboard radius?
>>
>>130588286
Did the CDLC downloader give your computer aids yet?
>>
>>130589393
Acoustic guitars are frequently a mess with intonation. But you also don't play above the 12th fret where this really really gets bad. They also have compensated saddles and pro set ups involve filing the saddle and nut to get it to intonate.
>>
>>130589450
for some reason, my only acoustic above 600$ has a compensated saddle like that but I've seen videos of $10,000 classicals with stock-straight bridges
>>
>>130589500
Classicals do be like that but they also have like zero string tension to fuck up intonation
>>
>>130589525
forgot the image
>>
>>130589551
Yeah they just angle it so the low strings are longer scaled. On acoustics you just play with the same strings and tensions to keep the intonation good as set by the manufacturer. Part of the problem on electrics is people constantly change or pick a specific set of strings and all of them will change the tension and relief. Classicals don't even have a truss rod to fuck things up because nylon strings have very little string tension to worry about.

I can agree with him. Plugging in and fucking with an amp, a bunch of pedals, and being tied to that spot sucks ass. It's so much easier to just pick up a nice small body acoustic or classical and just play on the couch or in bed. Once you have multiple ac adapters for pedals and an amp and a cabinet and a tangled mess of cables or you have a split output going into your pa with another mess of cables for your tracks or drum machine it's another annoying set up. But electrics are so much incredibly easier and you can play looped with access to the upper frets so it's worth it. But it's still a pain in the ass. And on the computer now you have to set up your interface and a bunch of daw shit and wear annoying headphones. Acoustic is just so much easier to pick up and play. And it makes you much tighter and more consistent to a point. Then when you want more single note soloing and scale work you kind of have to deal with the bullshit of electric guitar.

Got this Peavey Stereo Chorus 400 a few months back and I still don't understand how this works.
It's not a regular Send/Return effects loop, right? I have two TRS Y cables, but I'm not sure what I'm doing with them and my pedal board. Some of my pedals do have Stereo In/Out, too.
Explain like I wear a tarded helmet.
>>
>>130592276
>paying a pro
Not worth it unless your instrument cost several grand, in which case: why did you buy it in the first place?
>>
>>130592627
Preamp is for EQ and distortion
Power amp makes things loud
The pictured inputs go straight into the power amp which is supposed to just make things louder. The writing below specifies the maximum signal level you should be feeding into it. This is mostly intended for when you have a special sauce amp whose sound you like, but which doesn't get loud enough to be heard over your drummer, and the PA guy is either drunk or lost his microphones so you have to push some air as if it's the 70s
>>
>>130592627
>>130592768
TLDR it's like half of an effects loop, you get two "returns" but no "sends" (at least none are visible in the picture)
>>
>watch youtube video of a pickup demo to get ideas of how they sound
>guitar isn’t in tune

Every single time
>>
>>130592794
The only parameters of a pickup that have a meaningful impact on the sound are the distance between pole pieces and strings (adjustable), the inductance (in conjunction with cable capacitance; this parameter can vary greatly even with pickups of the same make and model) and the distance between the rows of pole pieces (if humbucker; usually the same).
If he doesn't use the same cable as you do, or A/Bs them against a pickup you already own, demos are meaningless. In fact, buying overpriced pickups is meaningless. It's just wire around some magnetised metal rods or screws, it's not black magic. Put an EQ pedal before your first gain stage and play around with that, you get more variety out of that

>>130592866
