He did sign Guy Mitchell, Mindy Carson, the Four Lads, Johnnie Ray, Jill Corey, Tony Bennett, and Frankie Laine and of this group one was already an established star prior to joining CBS, another didn't let Miller be involved with his music, and the rest were memes that are almost totally forgotten today. On top of that he rejected the Everly Brothers and Connie Francis who became superstars on other labels. That shows how awful the guy's sense of judgement/taste actually was.
