If you pay for a concert ticket should you be able to record whatever you want with your phone?
>>
i'm double fisting xhamster and claude prompts on two phones and the first guy to physically remove me from the venue is getting pissed on like postal 2
>>
no
>>
>>130605667
Venues should have snipers posted in the rafters to headshot anyone who takes out their phone.
>>
Anyone that bans phones at their concerts isn’t good enough to be recorded anyways.
>>
a show is a product like any other. don’t like it, don’t go. you don’t get to choose the conditions of entry any more than you get to choose the set list.
>>
i don't post on social media like a retard
im good
>>
I hate phones, but if you do a phone ban, it makes sneaking audio equipment in harder for recording live shows.
>>
>>130605667
it wasn't legal to record concerts 40 years ago, why should it be now, because it's easier?
>>
>>130605667
no.
>>
>>130606921
"phone ban" just means you don't have your phone out during the concert. You're actually paying attention to the music and show instead of going on your phone every 5 minutes like some ADHD child.

If you have your phone in your coat pocket, turn on recording before you enter the venue and then edit it later, you'll actually get a swell recording (which is better for being in the pocket).

src: me, I did that at tool and have a great bootleg.

Some of the earliest videos on YouTube are fan-shot concert footage and sometimes they capture song performances that are rare or even songs which to this day have never even been released:

Indeed. But think they deserve the world.

>I hate phones
You have ASPD, who cares what you think.
>>
>>130606858
On the contrary, anyone recording a show on their phone isn't that into the music.

Bait? Kill yourself. Sincere? Kill yourself.

Let's be real: you fuckers take terrible photos, video (portrait, really?), and the audio capabilities of phones still sucks. There's no point in doing it with your phone. That being said, bands should sell soundboard recordings, or maybe offer it in a ticket package.
>>
>>130605667
wrong concerts should be phone free by default

and this is capitalismo dumbass, you don't get anything for free so you need to pay extra at a phone enabled concert to use your phone
>>
If you can afford a ticket you can afford a camera.
>inb4 muh selfie
Doesn't apply if your genuine argument is to showcase the concert to the poor.
>>
>>130605667
>having standards on behavior is "classist"
The left should have leaders slapping and humiliating these fucking faggots for their own good.
>>
>>130612959
It's a shame the people that recorded those videos couldn't enjoy the concerts at the time. Younger people can't live in the moment and they're fucking entitled. We wouldn't be talking about this if they weren't so entitled.

I went to an Alan Parsons Project show before covid in Sacramento. There was some genuinely autistic downy 40 year old recording the whole thing and Alan Parsons between songs says some shit about how he doesnt like people filming because he doesn't get paid from it and I got the chance to boo his ass because its a very small theatre. I was there with some friends and one of my friends wanted an autograph from one of the guys and they ignored us probably because of me.

Public venue = first amendment rights to film in public. Dunno how third world concerts work.
>>
>>130605667
if the artists are okay with it, yes. if not, no
>>
>>130605667
I'm kinda irked now because Isaac wood is doing the tour in europe and now us poors and burgers won't get to hear any of the new material.

Probably the reason he chose that tour
>>
>>130619119
Assuming this is about Phoebe bridgers of course...
>>
>>130618249
>first amendment rights to film in public!
yeah no. look at the fine print on the ticket.
>>
>>130606868
Thank you, glad to see at least 1 adult ITT

Venues are private property genius. That law applies to like the McDonald's parking lot.
>>
>zoomzoom goes to musuem
>sign says no photos
>aw alright i guess
>zoomzoom goes on airplane
>please turn wifi and data off
>aw alright i guess
>zoomzoom goes to concert
>please no cell phone recording
>WHAT THE FRICK??!?!! D:<
What makes them so stupid and entitled?
>>
>>130620751
The elephant in the room is that zoomzooms don't actually like music, they just want to "had been there" for social media
>>
>>130620751
>please turn wifi and data off
>aw alright i guess
Never happens.
>>
>>130620760
I don't think them needing their phone or posting shit really means that. They just grew up in a world where they've had a smart phone since they were like 8 years old and recording/posting shit is how all their peers live their life. I think it's just a part of the experience for them. Looking at that from the outside and thinking that the phone part is the entire experience for them seems short-sighted
>>
>>130621115
Have you gone to a shows lately? The zoomers all take a bunch of selfies with the band in the background then leave after the second song.
>>
>>130621250
yeah I go to shows a lot but I've not seen anything like that lol, that is wild if you're seeing that shit regularly. What kinda artists are getting that kinda crowd? I guess I could see it for something super hype right now like idk 2hollis or whatever
>>
The one band who encouraged taping and trading them also was the literal biggest selling live band in History.
>>
>>130605667
>i'll die on that hill
please do

would you sign my petition?
