I'm just curious because, as an outsider, I think that the greatest metal performer of all time was Ronnie James Dio. However, when you ask metal heads who the greatest of all time was, they say, unequivocally, that Metallica are the best. Take the song "Sad but True" for instance. I tangentially enjoyed this song when I was a teenager. But when I listen to it now? It's nothing but screamo faggots. Do Metallica have a melodic song?!?

That time they sued Napster was pretty melodic
>>
>>130607338
>metallica
>screamo
Lmaooooooo fucking zoomers
>>
>>130607368
I'm a millennial, born in 1987. I always thought that Hetfield had a terrible voice.
>>
>>130607396
Obviously your sensitive little ears cant take screaming lmao
>>
>>130607436
No? It sucks. Screaming isn't music just like rap isn't. The only vocal form of music is singing.
>>
>>130607436
I always liked the scream in this metal song.

No Leaf Clover is such a good song and it was basically a throw away then they released St. Anger
>>
>>130607338
The Unforgiven is a great melodic song most bands would love to have written
>>
>>130607445
Yup sensitive little ears lmao
>>
>>130607520
Well they did write it to have it performed with an orchestra but the song is pretty much buried
>>
>>130607543
I apologize in advance, but my older brother back in the 90's liked that song. He beat the shit out of me and recreated WWE wrestling moves on me. Now he's a shill for Dan Bongino. If that's the best melodic song that Metallica has to offer, I could never like them as artists. Sad But True is okay though.
>>
>>130607575
Lmao
>>
>>130607338
What the fuck are you talking about
>>
>>130607338
Not a single Metallica song has screaming in it. Not even from Kill em all.
You don't know what you're talking about also, screamo is a genre of music, it's not a vocal style. The term ur looking for is "harsh vocals" or "guttural vocals"
>>
>>130607338
>screamo
OP is either retarded or baiting but I'll bite:
Escape, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), The Unforgiven, Hero of the Day, No Leaf Clover, The Day That Never Comes

See this comment by op and you will figure it out lmao

Good take, here.
>>130607567
Do they ever perform it live, sans orchestra?
>>
>>130611927
Yeah they've even played it on this tour a couple of times.
>>
>>130611945
How did it sound without the orchestra? Take or leave it?
