>new Sublime album in literal hours
>no threads
Really?
>>
I just can't get excited for it, even out of curiosity. The new singer is just soulless.
>>
>>130607441
The videos of the concerts with this new lineup are funny because Bud Gaugh does NOT want to be there lmao
>>
>>130607441
we don't listen to that cracker timmy music they not like us
>>
>>130607441
I really want to see them live. Singles were OK. Lame that apparently they're not long for this world and I may never get to see them because I don't live on a coast.
>>
>>130607441
Nowell died 30 years ago. That dog is probably dead now too. What?
>>

Seriously I hate druggies man. Dude died when I was like 11 and I thought it was just some “grown up” thing I didn’t understand, but now I realize they’re all just losers
>>
>>130607657
Wasn't it in the doc how his buds wanted him to go surfing or something but he decided to stay home and do heroin instead and then he died. What a loser
>>
>>130607751
It was after a show and Bud wanted to go watch the sun rise. He shot dope and died in the motel they were staying in.
>>
>>130607727
alcoholics are worse
>>
>>130607774
It was on them for abandoning their friend to do drugs.
>>
>>130607814
No, it's on Brad for being a piece of shit junkie.
>>
>>130607751
I dont know, i found out through some instagram story. I literally dont care about those junkies
>>
>>130607826
Sorry about that. He made some good music though.
>>
>>130607727
Druggies in music are cool. Everywhere else theyre pitiful or worse but music is the one avenue that druggies can achieve stuff sober people never could
>>
>>130607853
You seem to care a great deal you've been posting about them non-stop

>>130607998
i never really liked sublime (outside of a couple singles like date rape), but this sounds just like their earlier work so good for them i guess. sounds like his papa that's for damn sure.
>>

It's really good I heard it last night and thought I had somehow never heard of one of their old albums then I saw it was brand new
Very nice surprise, his son sounds just like him and the style is Sublime
>>
just finding out the internet (aka reddit) hates them because they're maga

weird world we live in.
>>
>>130616333
Checked
How dare they have opinions and preferences that aren't marxist globohomo garbage
>>
>>130616333
I also found this out by reading youtube comments, funny anyone still believes in left vs right politics or that voting matters
>>
>>130607441
Unless they revived Bradley from the dead, it’s not sublime.
It’s like the foo fighters calling themselves nirvana.

>New Sublime album
>New Social Distortion album
>>
Woah, man, it's like it's an AI album cause it almost sounds like Brad Nowell, but it's really his son and it's actually a person singing.
>>
>>130607647
>That dog is probably dead now too
I pet Lou dog at Warped Tour in 2000.
Also met Bud and Eric and everybody, they were in Long Beach Dub Allstars.

>literal 40 year old one hit wonder boomerslop zombie of a "rock" band being dragged along by a drummer and bassist after the original singer and guitarist died
yeah i really wonder why there's no hype
at least prior generations had the good sense to keep it to themselves when they started getting old and began desperately clinging to the music from their childhood
broadcasting your midlife crisis to the world like this is unspeakably cringe

there's been a lot of good music made in the past 40 years
a lot of it from bands you've never heard of
maybe you should go find something new to enjoy rather than fellating this corpse
>>
>>130616953

>Song called Gangstalker
>>
>>130607650
This feels like some insanely poor coping on his behalf.

>My dad died of an overdose when i was 1 year old
>He was a musician so i want to be a musician too
Oh ok fair enough what sort of music are you gonna
>I'm gonna start a punk band
>Actually my dad was in a ska punk band so i'm gonna start a ska punk band
Alright that's a bit weird but whatever, I guess
>Actually fuck that i'm gonna get my dad's old band back together and i'm gonna hang out with his old friends and write songs together and I'm gonna be his replacement

Living under the shadow of a famous parent can be rough but I don't know if trying to skinwalk into your dead dad is the best way to handle it.

Point is its going to work, there's buzz plus a Grateful Dead following, more or less, not to mention the girls with Santeria in their playlists will get fed some of this, and it might maybe could accidentally produce a listenable track. I doubt it. My friends stuck with all of the Skunk offshoots over the years but I mostly fell out of rich white kid reggae. About the only decent act is Stick Figure.

>>130617117
Old Warped Tour was insane, the artists just circled the buses and hung out and you could just stand around with them. We played hacky sack with LBDA, it was wild.
>>
>>130617169
I mean I guess I’d do it if it meant I didn’t have to work a regular job. It’s a convenient relationship for all of them. Bud and Eric weren’t allowed to use the Sublime name until Jakob was in the picture.
>>
>>130617297
I get his point, even the Rome thing was pretty soulless but I admit, I never gave it a fair shot.
His kid is overqualified in being a little west coast rich bitch, just like Bradley was, pretending to slum it up so hard he OD'd in a gutter.

Lets see if there's one good song, I say. Its a lifeboat for Bud and Eric and maybe the listener will accidentally get something out of it.
>>
>>130617169
It's a one off thing, he says he doesn't want to try to be his dad and will continue with his own music afterwards.
Anyway most of the album was really good.
>>
>>130607463
You are tripping this is a definitive grand slam, you couldnt have asked for a better outcome than this, its surreal.
