So I've been using an overdrive into fuzz and distortion pedals, and then fuzz and distortion into the overdrive pedal, and I think I prefer the overdrive before. It's a timmy clone (Pure Sky) and the fuzz is the big muff and the distortion is a rat pedal. Seems people usually prefer the former? I feel like it's too subtle for after and doesn't really add much. Maybe the timmy just isn't good after?

If you have another $180 get the ir200 which is the same but better. Alternatively you can get a line 6 but I would stick with one of the pedal ones. You could get a pod go or a helix. If you get one of those you can cover trying out every effects. Then if you really like them and need the SOVL you'll at least know what to get.

>>130623120Also I would say in general if you're going to buy cheaper dedicated pedals in general don't go with boss. They make good electronics but the individual pedals don't even have true bypass. Get the ~$100 range of tc electronics like hall of fame reverb, flashback 2x4 delay, hypergravity compressor, mojomojo od, etc. Tc electronics rules for individual good digital effects. But the boss higher end stuff with more modeling and tweaking like the ir200 or rc10r or dd200, that tier pedal are great. The individual cheap stomp boxes I wouldn't get too many of. I only say the ir2 for your budget otherwise I would go straight to an ir200 or line 6 helix lt

I have an overdrive pedal through a solidstate amp and I'm not sure if I want a tube amp.What are the main differences? Do tube amps give you less control over tone since they need to warm up or whatever?
