So a significant part of heroin's effect is literally due to morphine that forms after metabolism.

Literally feels extremely similar, heroin is just faster on the effect and its stronger but its the same effect. Likely a dude that went to the dentist or a surgeon and got morphin'd already experienced how heroin feels.

I wouldn't say it's better than falling in love, but I definitely get the comparison. The euphoria can be very similar. Probably the best I ever felt in my life was when I had the honeymoon phase of both heroin and a new gf. I remember coming in/out of a nod while texting her when it was new and we both were really elated with each other. I'll prob never feel that good again lol
