What's with critics suddenly hyping up soul, funk, disco etc. in recent years?I don't think they have any elements actually worth praising. >>130645484i agree that its overrated but certain artist's albums or greatest hits albums (esp with labels like motown) are good enough imo. however, like with rock, the cream at the top is very very thin. i really hate to say it but i think it definitely has atleast something to do with identity politics.
