I remember listening to this for the first time after downloading it off Soulseek and "Vices" was so jarring I thought it was some other band that got mislabeled. Great album though.

I fucking hate that this was the album that killed DK because it was an improvement over their “hoo-hah, moskau moskau” stuff.
If Siegel and Meinunger were smart, they could have broadcast the full musical instead of just having them perform the last 2 songs from it.

I don't know why it didn't occur to me at the time, but I think Daisy is Brand New's heaviest album. Vices kicks ass.

Burst Apart is decent and Hospice isn't my thing, but this is far and away my favorite Antlers project despite it being less than 30 minutes.

Every once in a while I'll listen to The Mountain Goats discography. Beat the Champ is always my favorite but it gets overshadowed by Bleed Out, Sweden, All Hail West Texas, etc. maybe it just gets overshadowed by the sheer volume of good records.

Everyone likes Serotonin II and the ones after this one are way more digestible. Aside from Don't Be So Hard On Your Own Beauty, this is "the fucking weird one that happened" or some shit, but it's the one that I really like.
