>actor playing a musician is a better singer than the real guy
Gary Oldman BTFO'S Sid without even trying, he just does a lazy impression of a punk voice and it ends up sounding around a million times better than the real Sid's vocals
>>
sid wasnt pretending to be a vocalist tho he was pretending to be a bass player

Yeah but he also did vocals. He had his own band after the sex pistols where he sang and he sang for some songs on the sex pistols' second album

nah cmon everything after Lydon left was just an attempt to wring whatever cash was possible out of the corpse of the band before it all fell apart
I havent listened to Sid Sings for like 20 years but I remember it was pretty bad
I feel like youre countering a point that was never made, by which I mean Sid never tried to be, nor did anyone try to present him as, a good vocalist.

You're telling me someone was a better musician than Sid Vicious? I have trouble believing that.

Always amused that the lead actors are uglier than who they’re playing
