Some of these are more like math rock/post-rock/post-punk, but I think there'd be something for you in them. Ordered them most likely to apply to least, very roughly.

And have you listened to Smog? Wouldn't call him slacker rock, but I bet you'd like Accumulation: None and others like Julius Caesar and Wild Love. Accumulation: None has this cool pattern of alternating styles and tones.

based Superchunk fan. I grew up a big 90s indie dork but was born in 91. Superchunk was never fed to me as part of the canon but I spent some time getting into them over covid and they have a ton of perfect tracks. Dunno why they're so overlooked as I think if you were actually around back then everybody had heard those records

Superchunk are weird. I think Majesty Shredding is genuinely pretty great, and while all their other albums have a few bangers, I also think 70% of the songs are boring AF. Portastatic might actually be more consistent.

They have a bunch of EPS and singles that are recorded on 4-track/vinyl-only, so you won't find it all online, they split and moved on to new projects so I put some needledrops on soulseek
