Genuinely one of the best bands ever but I feel like they aren't really getting the recognition they deserve anymore and are starting to fade into obscurity

because they became uncs
>>

Having one good song will do that to you
>>
Budgie is a very underrated drummer.
>>
The discography proper is kinda schizophrenic, and they didn't really break out on a global level until Superstition. I think they're definitely more broadly appreciated post-breakup, but even then it gets a bit tribalistic between the punk/goth stuff and the psych pop stuff. They're an easier band to respect for their audacity than actually enjoy everything they did.

Seek professional help. Soon.

>>130667736
Nah. You do that.
>>
>>130667721
What song would that be?
>>
>>130667721
Bait? They have boatloads of great songs. A lot of mid to bad stuff too but that's mostly later on anyway.
>>
siouxsie's banshee lol
>>
>>130667723
He's good enough that Siouxsie could throw out the rest of the band and make music just with him and it still sounded great
>>
>>130667710
Lots of unc bands that zoomers love though. Not even the goths care about Siouxsie anymore
>>
They were always kind of a lesser known group even in their heyday. In the States I don't think they really broke at all until Peekaboo. Cities in Dust was a minor hit because it was in a movie that I can't remember the name of.

Out of Bounds

Which is weird considering All Souls was effectively a goth-ready compilation playlist handpicked by Siouxsie herself, and that was only a few years ago.

Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about. They're probably second behind The Cure as far as gothic rock goes and they're big enough that they're routinely mentioned even in general 80s rock discourse alongside Duran Duran etc
>>

Cure has waaay higher normie appeal anon, it is not even comparable. My country's yearly top 2000 still has The Cure voted into the top 10, meanwhile Banshees isn't even on the list (and this is a country they regularly used to tour in too). I see artsy zoomers listening to The Cure all the time, but never to the Banshees.

Btw I am not saying they have faded into obscurity, but they are starting to
>>
>>130668235
>but never to the Banshees
I see it all over the place. I'm a huge Cure fan and everyone seems to act like the next stepping off point from them are either Siouxsie or Bauhaus, I'd even say the latter are significantly less popular because they have a harder edged sound
>>
>>130668415
Maybe it's just a me problem and I only ever meet normoids
>>
>The Scream
>Join Hands
>Kaleidoscope
>Juju
>A Kiss in the Dreamhouse
How did they do it?
>>
>>130667671
zoomers have shit taste so that's not surprising at all
>>
>>130669556
>great
>good
>bro wtf
>great
>bro wtf

How indeed.

Some anons here call Brett Anderson a Bowie knockoff but to me he always very obviously seemed to be Rule 63 Souixsie Sioux
