This album had a lot of great moments, but it's a total mess in other parts and doesn't fit together well. The songs about Tommy's childhood are great but the plot rushes forward too quickly and disjointedly in the second half.

I just don't like how absurd the whole Tommy becomes the messiah for young people plot is.
I think it would have been stronger if Tommy regained his senses, but rather than become a sensation, became wrapped up in how mundane everything really is and realized that even with his senses back he was still effectively deaf dumb and blind.

I think the tracklist is actually unintentionally wrong. Various tracks seem out of order in the plotline for no apparent reason.
