Not sure if /v/ or /wsr/ is better than here for this thread but fuck it. I have been trying to find what is the name of the instrument used for the main melodies in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmRD85eZmd0&t=1m12s at 1:12 and 2:16 respectively and still coudldn't find any instrument close to it. could you please help me /mu/ ?

Dude I’m pretty sure it’s just a basic sin wav synthesizer, you could probably recreate it pretty quickly in a DAW with some tweaking and research

It's definitely an FM synth. The ear piercing lead and the fake slap bass are trademark sounds. It seems the composer is trying to mimic old arcade or PC games which checks out, FM synths were commonly used on both.
