Was this the greatest run of albums by a single band in the '90s? If not, who has it beat?

Still a kino album imo

Right to be, had no reason to flop. Especially compared to later albums. Holds up to Mellon Collie and is definitely better than both Gish and Pisces Iscariot.

Adore was still 'bigger' than most alternative bands will ever get. Ava Adore was all over MTV and radio, and still gets played on alternative rock radio to this day.
I was actually a teenager and fan and hated Adore but it grew on me and now I think it's great. History has already corrected its stance on Adore and its pretty much universally agreed to be a great album that was just ahead of its time, didn't really fit in the existing alt rock format of the 90s

Mr bungle, the flaming lips, mercury rev, susumu hirasawa to name a few
>>
Ween had a legendary run

>Pure Guava

>Shinola

…are all 12/10 albums. I don’t know who could possibly compete with that run

>>130676592
Flaming Lips had a 2 great album streak (transmissions and clouds)
SP had a 5 great album streak (gish - machina)

My favorite alt-rock band in general, shame I hardly ever see them mentioned.
