Did your country have their own style of club music back in the 90's?For instance, in Spain we had makina which was a very fast type of techno. It somehow went mainstream and even reached the UK scene.I know in the Netherlands they started the whole gabber thing with Thunderdome. Italy had this italodisco with Gigi D'Agostino and others. In the US I guess they had the acid house scene. In the UK garage and jungle.I just think it was cool how back then every country had their own scenes and came up with their own genres experimenting. Now it's all the same slop globally where is either reggaeton or trap in 99% of clubs. There's no way this music could go mainstream now:www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTVpOGzv2w8

>>130687950Frenchcore of course. It's hardcore techno with heavy use of samples (from movies etc.). A bit more hardcore than hardcore even, bordering on terror. Today the genre is often confused with hardtek, which is the same thing but as a "happy" version. Frenchcore is supposed to be scary and angry.https://youtu.be/Y8xyhHWbT4Q?si=lsU4VAsmoh1Lnqy4https://youtu.be/R5Kmg8oNfTo?si=DLrEMWnmDDBrrdZ3https://youtu.be/1k8-XsUI-hg?si=IaSGXJnXiOKI9ELVI only share Micropoint but they're the only Frenchcore act I like. I can't really stand modern Frenchcore, I've been to countless raves and the so called "Frenchcore" artists only play jolly whimsical hardtek for kids, kinda rustles my jimmies.
