wtf do I listen to as someone that actually likes this album?
Might recommend Radiohead
Something better.
>>130693652have done so, great band
>>130693652I’m Jewish btw
>>130693640What do you like about it? If you like the clicky clicky electronic percussion you might like John Hopkins, SOPHIE's less pop more techno stuff, or Japanese microsound artists like Ryoji Ikeda
>>130693640https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5r4S4YjkF8
>>130693640you now listen to the bands that Radiohead ripped off. such as Joy Division, The Cure, The Smiths.
>>130693992>If you like the clicky clicky electronic percussionyeah, and just, how they made it sound idkreally like the tone/mood of the album too. i think radiohead's ability to craft an album with a cohesive atmosphere is one of the most appealing things to them for me>>130694211fail to see how those bands have ever made something that sounded like the king of limbs or most of their other records>>130694040the smile's good too. still haven't listened to their third record
This album's release was a formative experience for me. I was a 13 year old Radiohead fan and I looked forward to this piece of shit for months, downloaded it the minute it came out, and listened to it in the backseat in a roadtrip with my parents. So disappointed it was unbelievable. Never liked Radiohead again after that.
>>130694592basically the same thing someone might've said about kid A in 2000.
>>130694482Try this one OPhttps://legendarypinkdots1.bandcamp.com/album/the-moon-cracked-over-albion-2
>>130693640Four Tet
>>130694211Explain why they “ripped off” those bands, and why they weren’t just influenced by them.
>>130696227The other anon is wrong, they ripped off U2
>>130693640Music that is either loop-intensive or rhythmically dense.
>>130698355>i dont listen to riffs
>>130698394I'd imagine someone who prefers TKOL wouldn't. Guitar is just a texture on like 80% of the album.
