If the music has an electric guitar in it, I'm not listening. There's too much of this out there, guitars and lame pedal effects. It's tiresome. Who's with me, you can have a guitarslop free rest of your 2026!
>>130698891Nobody cares
>>130698895You care or you wouldn't have posted in the thread.Do you like guitars? I don't, not really.
>reddit blog>reddit spacingYikes
It's just a played out sound, we've heard it before. Robert Fripp finished electric guitar some time in the 1980's, there was nothing left to be done with it.
>>130698891Translation: I suck at guitar it was harder than I thought so now I hate anything involving it
I'm going black-music free for the rest of the year. If the music has a black person in it, I'm not listening. There's too much of this out there, blacks and lame hiphop effects. It's tiresome. Who's with me, you can have a blackslop free rest of your 2026!
>>130698891no youre not
>>130699005I've never tried to play it, why would you play an instrument you don't like the sound of?>>130699028Based. Being selective with what you put into your brain is 2026.
>>130698891What about classical and flamenco and samba and bossa nova, ones without electric guitar
>>130699028Ive been doing this for almost 10 years
>>130699046Hmmmmm..... no. Nothing with an audible guitar of any kind.
>>130698909NTAI like a specific set of types of guitar in specific contexts. I don't think having a guitar is automatically a good thing necessarily.are you avoiding guitar samples too? I feel like I could do a no-guitar stretch if I could still hear people chop other people's guitars
>>130699212Nobody cares
>>130699212Guitar samples are tricky, if they're audibly guitar, I guess I will turn off the music. If the sample's been tortured and massaged so that I can't really tell, it's allowed.I will also allow dulcimers, because they are generally struck and not strummed.
>>130699220I don't care if anybody cares.>>130699263makes sense. I wish you well on the experiment, hope you find some dope shit
>>130699444Thank you very much. I'm wondering if Osamu Kitajima uses guitars... something to check. Love that dude. But even if he does I can listen to him after the new year.
>>130698891I did it for a few years after my hard drive failed and I lost all my music collection. Occasionally some acoustic guitar came up, but largely I listened to jazz, classical and folk. It was pretty refreshing, honestly.I did eventually come back and listen to stuff with electric guitar, but I still prefer stuff that's close to a dry tone (like hard bop guitar).
>>130698891I'm sorry your crush turned you down and started dating a guitarist, OP
>no rock music for op>no rnb music>no blues music>no funk>pretty much no pop music>no country from the 70s and after>rap is nearly of the table too>2010s edm has a surprising amount of electric guitar in itIt's over
I import guitarless music like DnB into my DAW and add guitar to it
