Steve Miller Band: Rock Love [Capitol, 1971]
Those of you who thought album number five a fluke ought to consider this one instructive--one side of "live" blues and another of dead rock. C-

Steve miller band is one of the worst bands in history
>>
>>130702460
this was an unfinished album Capitol released without telling him and he denounced it
>>

They're still not as bad as Paramore though.
>>
6 albums by 71 is way more than id have thought. mustve taken a dozen to finally come into their own

as anon said in the /mu/ in 1968 thread the record industry hadn't quite gotten rock down pat yet and were still handling it the same way they did pop singers like Andy Williams or Steve Lawrence where they were just interpreters who didn't write their own material so they would shit out multiple albums a year, which was unreasonable to expect of rock groups with self-penned songs.

SMB is still packing them in 60 years later.
stay mad.

>packing them in
The awful taste boomers who bought their shit records? Whoa that is crazy.

Beatles shit out multiple albums a year and they wrote most of their stuff.

the industry switched from an at least two albums a year model to one every few years probably for marketing reasons and because there was an explosion in the number of bands post-Beatles (so you probably had to take more time to come up with something to set you apart).

The Beatles didn't tour after '66 so they had unlimited time to work their albums to perfection.

seem to be a lot of younger fans too from the footage I've seen on TV.
I remember chicks loved, loved, loved SMB. And I mean all kinds of chicks. Like probably most requested music by chicks

SMB made great dance music. No denying that hip-swaying rhythm.

they released multiple albums a year all thru their touring years.

No one cares, /pol/.
>>

not him but early Beatles were rudimentary three chord songs under 3 minutes so they can't have been hard to make compared to how much more elaborate rock was getting by 1970
