Is this Toshiba Aurex tape player any good? It sure is cheap.
>>
no one has made good quality tape heads or mechanisms for >20 years. every new tape deck on the market is cheap chinese trash, no matter what brand is slapped on it.
>>
I don't know anything about that player. But if it's a tape player I can say with 100% certainty that it's a waste of money.

Like, what's this for? You're going to be taking a walk and instead of listening to high-quality audio from spotify you're going to listen to a degraded audio cassette? Like, why?

I can maybe understand getting a cheapie used tape player on ebay or at a garage sale, just to give yourself the ability to play tapes you get at shows (is that still a thing? or is even that a dated concept?)

But I don't see the point in buying a new cassette player.

>wireless cassette player
wtf
>>
>>130703957
Isn't it the only surviving line of cassette player mechanisms left in China, and they just sell it with different brands?

CDs are outdated too and people still buy those instead of vinyls and spotify

cd has the best sound, retard.

I use tapes to rip music from Amazon Music. It's fun. I use Type II cassettes with Dolby C on my top end Kyocera 801 deck. Tapes still sound great if recorded properly.

No it doesn’t vinyl does

Unless you're listening in an anechoic chamber, vinyl, CDs, and tapes are all going to do just fine.

Read some audiophile reviews from the 80s.

For less than the cost of a modern portable tape deck, you can go on down to your local goodwill and buy a late 80s sony dual tape deck which you will enjoy much more
>>
You're going to use this one fucking time for th novelty then never again

I bought up a bunch of Sony Professional Walkmans, the kinds with metal and Dolby C capability, like 10+ years ago, and now they're worth a mint. You can't buy a new deck like the old ones. I have this Tascam unit that I can program with the counter, it winds and rewinds at a frighteningly fast speed. I don't trust it for wear and tear and want to sell it. My old Kyocera component deck is all I need for a non-portable.

Buzz off, Babel Media.
>>
>>130704326
it has bluetooth headphone capability, that's what they mean by it
>>

It might help get you laid, but only if you're already attractive.

>vinyl does
yeah, if you have
>amazing hi-fi setup
>brand new needle
>brand new record
then, yes. it's the best quality. but after the first play, it's always gonna degrade in quality.
