Went to this guy's concert yesterday and he interrupted mid show to give us a lecture on how awesome AI is and how it actually enhances your imagination (Augmented Imagination he calls it). Also most of the concert visuals were AI videos which is a trend that is becoming increasingly common even with high profile artists.Why are boomers like this? It just makes everything feel cheap and fake and I don't understand why they don't see it that way.I also found it amusing because he also did a lecture on how electronic music is awesome because it's European and has nothing do with America, Jazz or Rock while at the same time most big high profile AI companies are based in the US.I know the thing has its uses. I'm a software engineer and the entire profession has been AI powered for some time now but I don't consider coding to be a creative artistic endeavor on par with making music or drawing. It's quite tedious in fact unless we're talking about the miracles programmers were pulling 50 years ago.
