They feel more "premium" and break less often.
I take care of my shit but jewel case snaps are the one thing that seems to break semi often.
One thing I'll give jewel cases is that they're better for booklets.

Literally makes zero sense. Digipaks are full-artwork customized packaging that is uniquely created for each album. They're the vinyl packaging of the CD world. Jewel cases are just a one of a million piece of plastic and a booklet.

Or you could just spend 5 minutes googling it and see that getting digipaks printed up is still cheaper than ordering jewel cases and inserts. Paper is a renewable resource, unlike the petrochemical plastics (polystyrene & polypropylene) used in jewel cases, which are also non-biodegradable
