Something makes me think you must not be a guitar player, or a very experienced one anyway. He was playing all of that off the cuff as improvisation. I don't think that solo is even that particularly inspired compared to many other solos that Zappa did, but the man was both an incredible guitar player and someone who truly communicated through his instrument. If all you hear when you listen to him is something like "blues rock licks and noodling" then probably you haven't spent enough time with guitar and guitarists. Everything sounds the same to the uneducated ear. It's like people who think Jazz is just random jumbles of notes.
