If you ask me, the album's concept of her channeling these bigger names to tell her life's story of struggling with a unique illness ended up, oddly enough, diluting her own story. I feel she could've told a far more compelling concept about how impersonating or channeling others, much like John Updike warned, eats into your face. For Halsey, she lost her own story by virtue of being Halsey the entertainer. Anyway, how's life, Buddy?
