Well spotify isn't exactly a fair platform for small artists as well as doing sus things like bloating playlists with AI music and having a CEO that invests into AI military so I'm sure there are plenty of reasons. I don't use spotify myself so it's never been an issue for me, I just wishlist anything I find interesting on bandcamp and then come back to listen and/or buy at a later point
