>drummer is not self-aware that he losses tempo and it's not getting better>he thinks he plays wellwhat do you do in these cases?
record the practice. play it back either alone or with the band leader, and map out the uneven tempo changes. rehearse the song, and rehearse specific sections until each one is even, then combine the sections. if you have a drummer who dgaf because he's the badass drummer who brings tha noize and energy, then you're fucked. you can't have a sloppy drummer leading the band from behind.
call Ringo
>>130876801get him to practice triplets or GTFO
>>130876801Just keep bitching about it until it sinks in.
>>130876801Can you blame him? The guitars are too stock
>>130876801my answer which has 34 years of band experience of all kinds depends on you first answering theses 3 questions...does he own his own his drumset? does he provide the practice space? does he provide the van for gigs?
>>130876801that's a rare pepe
>>130876836what if he's the leader?>>130877917>does he own his own his drumset?no>does he provide the practice space?no, but schedules the reshearsals>does he provide the van for gigs?no
>>130878016those 3 answers you provided speak for themselves. the drummer provides nothing of value as far as being in a band which you view as becoming 'successful'anybody can be plugged into that drum stool.however, does he get along with everyone? is he funny? self deprecating? actually shoes up? doesn't rock the boat with compositions and knows his role yet just lacks the seasoning of practice/talent? those guys are essential so keep him around at arms length after your next drummer doesn't work out.
play to a metronome
Fire him
>>130876801you have to throw a cymbol at his head and hell get stronger from the brain damage
