2026... I am forgotten
>>130879316I didn't forget about Brian.
>>130879316I listen to the Beach Boys every day. Brian Wilson and Mike Love are both based
>>130879316WRONGO!
Only music nerds knew/know who Brian Wilson was/is. That's why his death wasn't that big of a deal last year, although he deserved much more respect than what he got.
>>130880320Phil Spector: good vibrations is an edit recordAlso Phil Spector: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seqaTuXkqFI
>>130880345I listened to Surf's Up and Holland recently for the 1st timeThis is the cars, girls and surfing band?Pet Sounds and Sunflower are also awesome. >>130879316Nope I was listening to Smile yesterday it might be the greatest album of all time actually
>>130879316Be My Baby > everything he ever did
>>130879316He was apparently forgotten in 2025 too. The minimal reaction to his death last year was an autopsy on this board. As recently as 2017 or even 2018-19 his death would’ve broken /mu/. All it did last year was break through all of the thirsting and Fantano-posting for a couple of days. And even then it was entirely contained in the sticky. No other threads discussing particular albums or songs. None discussing his legacy after the sticky was gone. A sad reflection on what this place has become
It's my 30th day of listening to nothing but Pet Sounds. I try to listen at least 5 times a day as I'm attempting to learn the album by heart so I can remake it from memory after a few more years of practice. I actively block out all other music, so that eventually I will just have trained my brain to accept Pet Sounds as the only music. On day 15 I began to experience extreme and unexpected attention from women that i can only describe as a 'magnetic' effect akin to what 100+ day nofap users describe. On day, 20, I found an eight of psylocybin in my cupboard that I had no idea existed. It was as if it came out of nowhere. I felt automatically compelled to take the shrooms that moment and go listen to the album. As I stepped out onto my porch to cross into the part of the house with the speaker, I discovered a copy of Through the Looking Glass that I did not remember ordering for myself sitting on the porch, and read it while listening to Pet Sounds. I could go on, but suffice to say I believe this album has unique and powerful effects that put it in a class of its own, and I've barely gone down the rabbit hole so far. I'd be interested to see if any other anons have similar experiences.
>>130879316Christmas.
>>130879316He should have died on Christmas
>>130879316what happened to Michael J. Fox?
>>130880345It wasn't that big of a deal also cause he wasn't active. Even before he got dementia, mf was reclusive for years and years. Now when Macca finally croaks, or Dylan there will be a lot of media attention cause these fossils are still touring like it's 1967.
>>130887707Nice. Yes this album has a lot of power. Spiritual power. Good luck Godspeed on your journey Friend.
