What does /mu/ think of Everywhere at the End of Time?
>>130886025Unemployment turned into conceptual """""music""""" whose execution becomes excruciating considering its sophomoric premise. OPN could do something more evocative of alzheimer's in his sleep with randomized harsh noise sounds. The worst part is its meme status created a whole lot of 15 year old experimental music "experts" that forever polluted the discussion to irreparable lenghts.I love An Empty Bliss tho
>>130886025It's an interesting listen, but it has zero replayability. Only goes for the first album though, trying to stretch the same concept across 10 is ridiculous, the guy had one good idea in his entire lifetime
>>130886025not music
it's ok. obviously very overhyped. not bad or anything>>130886070not to glaze too hard but OPN could basically make anything good with any concept imaginable, he could probably even easily be a top 40 hitmaker if he were willing to sell his soul. so he's not the best point of comparison
honestly corny at this point
>>130886025terrible hipster bullshit
>>130886025ive listened to one album by the same guy that came before that one, empty bliss something. it's fine if you can constantly keep the "concept" fixed in your head, so to say, and relate it to the music. but the moment you try to treat it as just music without any consideration for the concept it kinds of fall apart. maybe this is a weakness of the genre? it gets mind numbingly repetitive at some point even if the actual melodies he picked for sampling are good
