There can be some cool music festivals, but I think all the best concerts I've been to have been at small venues. You can find lots of good blues, jazz, smaller rock or punk groups... I have been to a ton of great punk and metal shows in dive bars, and even once in just like a tunnel under a bridge.Basically if you go to an overcommercialized slop show you get force-fed overcommercialized slop.
