never was a huge modest mouse fan, (just not my style of music) but the fan-made music video for edit the sad parts left a lasting impression on me, partially because I was considering jumping from the golden gate bridge for awhile. I listened to that song over and over again when i went through a long manic episode last year. I love that song.
>>130978103THINK IT OVERRRRRRTHERE'S THE ERROR IN THE HYPE OF THE HIGH ROLLER
Remember through towns, with fear and fascinationOn what was here, and what's replacing them now>interchanges, plazas and mallsAND CROWDED CHAIN RESTAURANTS>more housing developments go upNAMED AFTER THE THINGS THEY REPLACE>so welcome to minnow brookAND WELCOME TO SHADY SPACE>well it all seems a little abruptNO I DON'T LIKE THIS CHANGE OF PACE
>>130978692I always thought it was "in the air at the height of the high-rollers".
>>130980533There's some disagreement over that lyric. Genius has it as "does the heir earn the hearts of the high rollers" which I can sort of hear, but on the live version I definitely hear it start with "there's" (it's especially clear the last time he says it). I also hear a long "I" where it doesn't sound like "hearts" to me. It almost sounds like he's saying "heighth" which isn't a standard word but sounds kind of cool in that spot. Maybe it's "there's the air of the heighth of the high-rollers." Air meaning vibe maybe? Idk, only Isaac knows for sure.
