Maybe they were in the scene, maybe some pioneers of the genre saw them or played with them, but nobody was bringing this band up before 5 years ago as some crucial piece to the puzzle. At least with shit like AR Kane creating a piece of shoegaze there is a case, but this shit is pure fiction. Fuck Bam Bam and the thinkpiece they rode in on.
