Who do you think is the bigger genius and modern artist?
>>130984622Julian Casablancas can't even sing on key, anon.
>>130984665Okay but i enjoyed The Voidz overall more than Patton's projects. It's more than singing.
>>130984665Where did that happen?Haven't heard that on their Strokes albums
>>130984622Patton is mostly obscure, only known by some /mu/ autists. FNM wasn't that known or impactful as the Strokes were. But it's not just about success or mindshare. Casablancas simply wrote a lot of memorable songs, Patton not much. Especially since he was doing a lot of funk-rock rapping back in the days, though I know he can sing well too. But there aren't 5 or 10 great FNM songs written by him. Strokes have that in spadesNot the same level
i dont listen to mike patton nor the strokes nor the voidzyoure welcome.
>>130985726Way to dodge the question, you fucker.
You can count on two hands the number of "geniuses" there have been in music over the last century and neither of these guys are one. But Patton has been in involved in more interesting stuff (FNM's Angel Dust, Tomahawk's Mit Gas, the EP he did with DEP, the middle two Mr. Bungle records, etc.).
>>130984622>ITT: chuddies screeching about "nepo baby" vs chuddies screeching about "Mike Patton has no memorable hits"squeeze me, macaroni.
