Tight stuff.And I don't know if he's indian or pakistani but there was this nusrat ali fateh guy who made sufi meditation music based on polyphony and sick ass vocals. He's great. I like the sounds of "Indian classical" whenever I hear it but know absolutely nothing about the genre. Ditto with Arab and Chinese for that matter

The modern stuff is very different2) yes, there's an english guitarist. but there are 3 or 4 indian guys on each album. and nobody hears the music and thinks anything other than "indian music."
