Don't support spotify. Using it doesn't automatically make you a bad person but if you're going to bother to ask then yes I will tell you that there are other, better options that you should consider.

I use it, it has a lot of rare albums you won't find on most music streaming platforms, but they have a tendency to remove songs from time to time. Even then, if I like the album enough I'll go out of my way to download it and listen to it through the spotify player.t. currently have 13k liked songs

The user interface and algorithm are pure AIDS. The home page is cluttered with shit that is not catered to your taste at all. The app itself is slow and laggy. The algorithm is insulting to your intelligence. It will shuffle to the most mainstream shit. There is no real artificial intelligence at play. They dump the most mainstream normie songs on you that have nothing to do with your tastes over and over and over. It will play you shit that any DJ or music fan would know you would be pissed if that song came on. Using the app really feels like you're on Spotify. It doesn't feel like you're listening to the music you want in the way you want. It feels like you're on the Spotify app and it doesn't stop reminding you where you are the entire time. The branding is extremely overwhelming. You load a song and it shows visuals for the song like wtf?? They treat you like an ADD teenager who's gonna shut off the app if you don't receive some attention grabbing visuals.
>>131007097Yeah I know, most of the times it's some copyright issue. A lot of well known/influential albums aren't on spotify or were removed due to that very reason, shit's annoying, especially if you have them in your wrapped or on any playlist really.
If you're going to be a fag like the rest of us at least get Apple Music. The quality is better and the songs are louder by a large margin. I used to be a spotitard.
