I suck dicks to feel emotions
>>131018232Not to sound like an edgelord, but I genuinely have not felt any emotion since I was maybe five. Might as well just be a robot.
>>131018245I did not know faggot was an emotion
>>131018232I will listen to music to match whatever emotion I'm feeling at that time. if im sad ill listen to sad music and vice versa. Even if im horny i listen to horny music
>>131018546when I'm horny I jack off

>>131018232So why do you look at paintings or listen to music or read books?
>>131018887To understand the human race and also pass the time.
>>131018887To admire the skill used to create them and take in the various ideas presented. Sadly requires prior knowledge of the subject though, not just v i b i n g

Midwit take. Enjoyment of art isn't an intellectual process.>>131020055>To admire the skill used to create themSkill alone is inadequate. An improvised fugue based on yankee doodle dandy played on a violin that's on fire at 400 bpm while simultaneously playing the theme backwards on harmonica takes unimaginable skill, but would we consider it art? I don't think so. Youtube is full of people who do shit like that.>and take in the various ideas presentedThis is somewhat valid when it comes to literature since a good novel can explore all sorts of ideas, but more abstract forms of art such as music, poetry or painting aren't really about "ideas" in any intellectual sense of the word. I mean, some of the best music ever made is instrumental. You don't get ideas from that beyond music theory. What makes great art great is something else. It's very difficult to put into exact words, and it's precisely this ineffable quality that makes it special. If art fell entirely within the domain of the rational, we wouldn't need it. That's not quite the same as "muh emotions", but that's actually closer to the truth as the horseshit you're spouting.
>>131020055>To admire the skillNGMI. Sad.
