I was a preteen and an older kid somehow had Discovery on CD and gatekept the fuck out of it, wouldn't let me listen.. I had to hear it. Once I did I immediately was like hoooooly fuck. That was around 2002 or 2003. Later on, there really weren't any kids in my high school who would give something like Daft Punk a shot. Meanwhile they would dance to Soldja Boy or Ying Yang Twins, but somehow Daft Punk was too close to being for the gay club or the Euro dance club. If there was one thing that filtered normies right out the gate when listening to Discovery, it was the 'skipping' effect on One More Time.
