Is there a way to write lyrics without feeling lame and gay? When writing lyrics, I feel like a little girl, lying belly down in bed writing:"dear diary, today I will make a poem about my feelings ((^w^) ".This happens no matter how non-personal or fictional my lyrics are. The process and the inevitability of being corny hurts me with cringe.

>>131073716I do active imagination and like jungian unconcious writing stuff and sort of inspired by that I usually listen to my song and just write random visuals/imagery/impressions that come to me then kind of organize it into a story and get lyrics from that I am much happier with my lyrics since I started doing thisI always do lyrics last but I just listen to the music and loop it and try to do unconscious writing/typing, just writing anything that comes to mind any imagery any phrases any setting etc trying to describe specific physical details that show up in what I am imagining
