what do millennials see in them ?
>>
Our childhood memories.
>>
Do zoomers do mushrooms?

Their music is just really good at invoking certain feelings and adding to an experience
>>
>>131073785
their little vignettes/interludes mostly do nothing for you until you find the one that clicks and sends you plummeting back in time like it's magic
>>
>>131073785
It was really exciting being an avant teen on the early internet and browsing all the lore on the band, discovering the old tapes
>>

Nostalgia. But even if the nostalgia isn't there for you because the Vine boom makes you nostalgic more than VHS warping does, their music is just good. Very thoughtfully crafted, very catchy, very atmospheric. But mostly it's nostalgia.
>>
it's just really atmospheric and evocative, really beautiful too at times

>t. 20 year old zoomer so it's not nostalgia
>>

It's alright

Why do so many people get filtered by them is what I wanna know.
>>
stand off, halo 3
>>
youtube poop making a comeback the month after BoC drops Father and Son is prophetic shit
>>
What impresses me about BoC is that they'll do a minute long ambient interlude that is the greatest thing you've ever heard, then you have guys like Aphex Twin who has a 3 hour long ambient album and not a single song on it reaches what they did with 1 minute of music

BoC making something so YTP-like is funny since they were always pretty popular in the YTP community
>>
>>131073785
all of their other albums are great
Music Has the Right to Children was released in 1998

Father and Son is a big reason I love Inferno so much, because of how confident it feels in itself, it's not holding back, it feels like they had fun making it and weren't really worrying about anything else. Tomorrow's Harvest was too restrained, too singular in terms of theme and vision it's like hitting the same note throughout, never really letting loose.
>>
4 minutes into All Reason Departs is so cool, bros. The way the synth tries to rebuild itself but every single sound is fucked up in pitch
>>
the fact I consider this album as one of top 10 of XXI century make me a better music listener than 99% people here who dont. that's sad that opinion of one, tasteless bald, deaf idiot could make this album 3.75 average shit on RYM. disgusting history

the desired death of rock music

I'm a Millenial and I only recently came around for them, tangibly.
>>
>>131073785
shitting on millennials only means something if the generation doing it are doing something better but zoomers aren't, you have no culture. Millennials have /mu/core, zoomers have drum and bass (We were listening to that before you were born)

this. I think its because BOC focus on melody while Aphex Twin is more so interesting sounds and hijinks with a machine

Wtf is this zoomer vs millenial thing it makes me fucking seethe stop doing retarded shit like that it makes no fucking sense you're not even talking to anyone. But yeah I liked some things on this album, but thought few of them lacked the kind of variation and progression I expect and typically like from their other ones. Some of it was more playful and some of it more serious, like I think they completely slaughtered you retreat in time and space by forcing a campfire headphase beat into it. I'm a zoomer and their music is nostalgic to me, but that is also completely subjective, if you're a zoomer living in a completely different part of the world and have not lived my life in my body, you will never understand why this is nostalgic to me.
