Hello. I've been thinking of quitting using Spotify and streaming music as a whole. What would you guys recommend to create your own setup for music? Just soulseek and a big hard-drive or are there any other cool options nowadays?

Its super easy to transfer music from your computer to your phone. and if you're downloading mp3 quality (which you should) it wont take up that much space. but if you're a FLAC autist then tough luck
>>
1. Get a classic ipod or different mp3 player with 160gb or more
2. Download from slsk, this place has most music and what it doesnt have i convert to mp3 from YouTube and sometimes use editing software to slice it up, did this with Calm by Calm other day
3. Use iTunes or whatever other software to organize and put on
4.prepare to wonder why it took you so long to stop streaming
Personally im not a phone music guy, I hate phones in general and this way your battery isnt drained constantly

Is this really Jerkcity fan art?

thrift store for CDs
you can find a fuck ton of popular music and catalogue fillers at thrift stores
being a pirate is cool but the hunt is a lot of fun
then you can just rip the files and download them onto an mp3 player or listen on your pc
>>
1. Have curiosity and the will to search things out for yourself
2. Have money
3. Use Bandcamp

That's it. You just won at music. Slsk and YouTube for anything not on there.

Organise your library with MusicBee, grab music from Soulseek, use Discogs to gather info on artist or label discographies and release info
A Redacted account is pretty useful too, user limit has been reached though so you're out of luck there until they increase the limit

Get YouTube Morphe if you have android

Yes, soulseek and a big-ass hard drive. Maintain your own library and maybe get an mp3 player if you're not going to drag n drop files onto your phone.
Don't fall for CD/vinyl scam.

i wouldn't recommend an ipod unless you get it flash modded because you're pretty limited on the storage otherwise. i've got a fiio x5ii which is great but i'm sure there are even better sounding ones. unfortunately the new DAPs i know of are basically like the newer ipods with touchscreens and shit.

also foobar is the best desktop music player.
