normies would be fine listening everything in cmaj if it had a groove and was dancable, add something goofy and weird in addition to groove and dancable and you start getting the fringes and thats their draw. Saw a show and the crowd was everything from 12 year olds in costume to 65 year old ladies that made their own headgear to slipknot kids to reddit normies. Honestly it warmed my heart.
