I know one other person who listens to them, but only likes Schlagenheim. Really dislikes Cavalcade and Hellfire.I saw them live before they released Schlagenheim and again on their Hellfire tour. Great live band, shame they're done.

I love all three black midi albums. I dont care about any of the posturing around being or not being a fan, the music just is good. The vocals are obviously a lot to swallow but that’s a part of the appeal and the experience, it grows on you. really was into schlagenheim on release and saw them on that tour top notch. still go back occasionally. never got too into the next two albums but I should try again been a good bit. I do really enjoy the new sound and my new band believe however. saw a show on those two tours as well very cool.

Shame that wave of rock bands seems to have fizzled out so quickly, typical for this day and age. Schlagenheim mogs everything else from that period but I find their other stuff fun too, I wish Cavalcade would get a better mix/master down the line, it got fucked by being produced when people were still waking bleary-eyed out of lockdown blues; Dethroned could sound much better with less aggressive normie compression. Schlag is one of the noisiest records I've ever heard produced and mixed so cleanly, Dan Carey did a gorgeous job on it.

I have listened to them a lot, but I'm afraid that Greep's voice will always be a great big filter for me that stops me from truly loving their stuff and this has only proven to be more and more true with time. It's not like I dislike the albums when I revisit them, but his voice never grows on me. Not speaking to the quality of the tracks themselves, but I always preferred it when Cameron sang, or even Matt on "Years Ago" their voices just textually fit the music better. Maybe Greep will sound better with age, he probably will but as a nasally teen/young adult it doesn't really work for me.
