"Folk" has been used to describe all of these things since long before people were trans enough to insist that everything fits into some microcategory and microcategorising everything is at all important, and long before people were autistic enough to go to pieces over having a little ambiguity in their life.

>>131092633you’re both unbelievably stupid and entirely 100% ignorant of anything to do with music. "folk" is the exact opposite of what you said, its not some fussily defined microcategory, its a vast, encompassing genre that just means the traditional music of any people or region. its the biggest, oldest and, crucially, the most easily, simply and clearly defined type of music in existence.thats you in OPs pic isnt it? its obvious to everyone now, so you might as well admit it.
>>131093084I admit Im fuzzy on the difference between the first two, but theyre like my least favourite shit ever so I don't listen to that stuff to know about it. Im sure I could differentiate either from Pop Punk, even tho I don't like that much more.
