Rock Opera? I've gotten so so hooked on Jesus Christ Superstar in the last couple weeks. No clue why. I'm not Christian. I do like musicals but this is by far Webber's masterpiece compared to anything else I ever heard of his. Otherwise I nearly exclusively listen to Metal. Maybe this started with the Acid King cover of 39 Lashes. Concept Album? Probably some of the prog-rock fare from Jethro Tull or the Alan Parsons Project. Alan Parsons in particular is some of the only music that both myself and my father really enjoy, so they'll always have a big soft spot in my heart for that reason. Tales of Mystery and Imagination is more my speed but I don't love the meandering second half - I might rate Turn of a Friendly Card as the superior Parsons record. Or Aqualung. Some people disagree, but no, it's absolutely a concept album.
