Can you separate the art from the artist? Should you?

It’s easier when you’re an autist

>artist tells me not to enjoy his music
>I keep listening to it

You can imagine them trembling with rage at home while people have fun with their music and there's nothing that they can do about it.

I can forgive an artist for being a murderer or a pedophile or whatever, but not for being Jewish

If they're a feminist no. Anything else is fine.

Depends on the kind of feminist. If they're the type whose messaging is monothematic and incapable of seeing women as fallible on top of being mediocre, then yes, I share your distaste. If they can write compelling music and feminism is more a peripheral feature than a dominant one, then I can vibe.

The art is an expression of the artist. Otherwise it's not art.
>>
Has anyone ever tried reuniting the art with the artist?

Who are they talking about?
I'll take a shot in the dark and guess it's someone who exchanged messages with a 17 year old girl on Instagram
