Let me guess? You need "more".

Why would I want to hide behind a pedal.

Is this a Behringer shitcopy of the BOSS FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz? Because I need the Hyper Fuzz (I already have it). I don't trust Behringer, their stuff is too weak, not on the level of the originals they copy. Plus their business model is despicable, worth boycotting.

Patent system working as intended. You don't get infinite years of monopoly.

Not so sure about that, lots and lots of lawsuits against Behringer ended with them discontinuing features or products. I don't think what they do is legal, and I think they're aware of it.
No problem personally with creating generic products as you would with medicine, but the problem with Behringer to me is they steal patents and they sell worse copies.

Behringer is just a shit company. They're so shit in fact that they're dragging down the rest of the industry with them.

You used to be able to get a Boss GE-7 that you could open up and mod to your preferences. You can look it up, there are a bunch of things you could do to make it work for your specific situation. But then Behringer comes along and undercuts them to the point where now Boss had to stoop down to their level and build smt junk you can't repair or mod. Boss had no choice in order to be competitive in the marketplace. Same thing happened to Moog.

The average consumer is so brain-dead they don't realize they're buying disposable junk that can't ever be repaired when it inevitably breaks, You see these tards all the time on reddit asking for help with their dead pedals trying to figure out what happened. What happened is they paid for cheap trash and got cheap trash.

Proof of this? Proof that Boss wasn't going to start surface mounting like every other manufacturer? Roland/Boss is a money grubbing mega corporation like all the rest. They just do it differently.

Boss started putting Behringer style smt circuits in their pedals at least a decade ago. Analogman has pages of Boss pedals he no longer offers new because he can't modify them anymore. The only way you can get a number of Boss pedal's modded by him now is to send him a new one. Nearly all the Boss pedals in the newer black boxes are smt now.

Meant to say send him a used one.

But yes, a real Boss DS-1 and a Behringer DS-1 copy will have essentially the exact same $1 circuit inside but the Boss one will cost $100 while the Behringer will cost $25. The general public just hasn't caught onto this scam yet.
